Interim Management Case Study - 100 room Independent hotel The owner of the hotel hired Mantoan Management, LLC. after the lessee walked out of the lease, and the business, one night, without any notice. Our first step was to stabilize the staff by providing support staffing and management. Simultaneously, we worked with the owner's attorneys and accountants to set up an Operating Corporation, business checkbook, and accounting procedures. We also helped secure the liquor license. The goal of the owner was to lease the hotel to another company. Plans were developed and implemented with this goal in mind. Operating budgets were developed as well as cash-flow projections. We established a plan for a full renovation of the rooms. This was planned, priced and implemented through our office. We worked with local real estate offices, and the owner, to help lease the hotel to a sound operating company with ample resources. In the interim, Mantoan Management, LLC. managed the hotel. Within three months the hotel was leased to just such a company. The project was successfully completed. |
